INSPIRED TUESDAY
A weekly pause for reflection – to inspire and be inspired
When the word ‘spiritual’ comes up, many people immediately think of rituals, crystals, card readings, or meditation. But the way I see it, spirituality isn’t about outer actions or tools. It’s not something reserved for special moments, specific places, or certain people.
Spirituality is subtle and it is formless. It points to the deeper connection to something greater – that which lies beyond the ever-changing inner landscape of our thoughts, feelings and senses. It’s the peace and clarity that emerge when we step back from the mental noise and sense something that can’t be put into words.
Spiritual insight is about discovering that we are already connected to this deep peace and wisdom. It’s not something we need to achieve or create but something we rediscover by letting go of all the ideas we hold about ourselves and the world.
When we understand that spirituality is about this kind of inner awakening, we see that it’s not about “doing” something spiritual but about being quiet enough to listen. It’s about seeing that our natural state already holds everything we seek.
Many believe spirituality requires specific practices or beliefs, but it’s truly an exploration of our own formlessness – the part of us that isn’t confined by time, thoughts, or feelings. From here, genuine clarity, intuition, and presence arise.
So, the next time the word “spiritual” comes up, we might ask: What if spirituality isn’t about what we do but about who we truly are when we step out of our mental stories?
This is where true depth and inner freedom are found – not in rituals, but in the formlessness.
